Alan Kirchhoff Alan is the Director of the State of Texas Emerging Technology Fund. In 2008 he was appointed by Governor Rick Perry as the Managing Fund Director for $500M Texas early stage technology investment fund. Today the fund has become the most active early stage fund in the country with over 130 portfolio technology companies and continues to invest in disruptive technologies in all sectors for the State of Texas. From May 2004 to August 2008 he was the deputy director of the ETF. He co-founded the Texas Emerging Technology Fund as the COO of the fund in it inception in 2005. The Texas Emerging Technology Fund was created in 2005 under HB1765 of the Texas legislation. An innovative approach by the state to fund early stage technology companies. The fund is unique model that has gained recognition as a premier national model. The fund works within a private/public partnership and takes an equity position in all its investments. Alan graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln specializing in Industrial Engineering. He also holds a BS from Doane College in mathematics, physics and accounting.
